Uhm, you might want to check into the cost of a liquid helium refill for it before placing any bids :-)

Found an operators manual!

(99% sure this is the same trailer, from the pics)
http://www.oshkoshsv.com/images/products/pdfs/10259D0103OSVOpMan48GESignaHorizon1.01.5TMRIMirrorImageUSA.pdf

It requires a shore line power of 480V@150A. so much for MRI'ing down
the highway.... MRI aside, thats a pretty slick trailer

I worked in the MRI group at GE Medical when they first started rolling out mobile MRIs. The standard joke amonst the software engineers was that you could always spot a moble MRI coming down the freeway toward you by the VW bugs stuck to the side...

(No, they always ramp the magnets down before moving the trailer. An accidental magnet quench dumping its load of liquid He at 70mph on I-94 is something to be seriously avoided: can you say "sounds like a 747 taking off, huge dense white gas cloud, lasts several minutes" ?)

And of course you can see a quench on YouTube (this video feels like a Sector67 production to me:-):

The last couple seconds show why you have to be very careful to empty your pockets before entering the magnet room.

MRI safety video:

Note the amazing demonstration of the inverse-square law applied in reverse of the way we usually think of it: the object's _acceleration_ (not just it's velocity) increases exponentially the closer it gets to the magnet. It goes so fast it reaches escape velocity and exits clean out the back of the bore, despite the magnet's strength...

You only have to see a video like this ONCE to be very, very careful working in magnet rooms!
