For any Tinkercad users.... have you ever had any problems "stopping" the sketching tool from dragging around the workplane?

I click on the Sketching Tool and drag it onto to the bed.

It then disappears off screen but if i left click the mouse I can then drag lines up and down and key and right.

So, I'm trying to create an L figure.

I drag the "sketching tool" so it creates a line vertically and then I use the mouse to drag it to the right to create the L shape.

But, it won't let go. I tried double-clicking the left mouse to stop it or end it but it just keeps "generating" a string.

I've watched YT videos and Googled this and they suggest uisng the Backspace on the keyboard or the Delete key or double-cling the mouse - none of that works so far.

It reminds me of GIMP in using the drawing tool. It was very difficult to stop that from dragging lines around like Spiderman creating a web. I never got an answer so I ditched GIMP as have many others.

There must be some trick to stopping the drawing tool.

Has anyone mastered that and would please share that insight I'd so appreciate that?

Thank you!

Charles.

I was a long time Tinkercad user, and yeah, the sketch tool can be broken.

My solution is to use the ESC key, or click the green checkmark on the left side of the screen, this will only cancel the unconfirmed line attached to your cursor, leaving your model unscathed.
I also struggled with this for a long time, as Tinkercad doesn't really have a good support base.
