Computer Help Volunteer Opportunity

Hi all,

My name is Hannah Majeska, and I'm the adult services librarian at Lakeview Library on the north side of Madison. I'm reaching out because we're looking for an additional computer help volunteer at our library. Our former computer help volunteer, Tom Scanlon, was part of the Linux user group that meets monthly at Sector67, and suggested reaching out to members in our search for potential volunteers.

The position description is as follows: 

One-on-One Computer Assistance Volunteer

Assist patrons with learning basic computer skills, troubleshooting technology, and utilizing library software including the Libby app. Technological proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required. Time commitment: 2 hours, once per week. Wednesday or Thursday afternoons or evenings, or Saturday mornings preferable.
