I plan to install shelving to hold a LOT of stuffed animals in a 44"x24" alcove.
The stuffed animals will be in totes or wire baskets, with the height of containers to be determined.
I'm thinking of screwing standards like this into studs on the sides of the alcove, rather than cantilevering 2 ft.-deep shelves off the back wall. (Link is for illustration purposes only):

I want the shelves to be adjustable to accommodate totes or baskets and to look nice. (Hence the pre-finished front edge of the shelf in the photo.)
Any ideas for a better method? Thanks!
