My talented and AI experts....

A friend has a Gateway M22 laptop running W10 Home.

AI says that laptop lacks TPM 2.0 needed to run W11 and lacks the correct CPU.

Is there a way to "reverse" search AI so you can see where it's extracting that info?

Googling Gateway M22 laptop specs features a myriad of not-exactly on point info.

I found the Acer site which lists only 1 laptop which meets W11 requirements and it isn't the M22 series.

I understand it's best to use the MS App to check your laptop but you must be online.

It's recommend you do NOT go online after 10-15-2025 with W10 especially if you have not secured the extended warranty (e.g Padi the $30, earned the bonus points to apply to securing the warranty, I think there's a 3rd method).

How else does 1 check if htat M22 can be upgraded ti W11 on another computer?

I saw promotion to a YT vides which supposedly show you how to upgrade to W11 on a "non-upgradeable" PC but haven't watched it.

Has anyone successfully upgraded to W11 on a "non-upgradeable" PC?

Thank you,

Charles.

Use Rufus and you won't have to worry about compatibility, there's a guide you can follow here:
I think some of the steps the guide lists are now unnecessary, you can have Rufus grab the Windows 11 installer for you for instance.

The only constraint is UEFI needs to be enabled/an option in the BIOS but more than likely if the computer is under 10 years old that'll already be the case.

Using an installer will obviously wipe out/remove/destroy any data on the computer so make sure you back up the computer - this is NOT an upgrade to the existing computer it's a new operating system so no data will be preserved when this is installed.
