Hello again, I managed to enter my data following advice to switch my columns. I've since attempted to run models using secr.fit with no luck. My dataset includes several trapping grids, and several sessions. Since I was running into this error, I attempted to run my model for only 1 grid at a time. Some grids had very few captures, so I get the error:
Error in secr.fit(capturedata, model = list(D ~ session, g0 ~ 1, sigma ~  :
  too few values session 1 to determine start;
set manually or select different session with details autoini

Is there some way to get around this? I Have 16 total grids, which were trapped 2 times per year (all) with the most productive being trapped a third time per year. This is over 3 years.
Thanks.

Below is the code I'm running with errors.

> EDF=read.csv("EDF1.csv",header=TRUE)
> capturedata<-make.capthist(EDF,TDF,fmt="trapID",noccasions = NULL) #I believe that noccasions can be 9
> EDF=read.csv("boEDF1.csv",header=TRUE)
> capturedata<-make.capthist(EDF,TDF,fmt="trapID",noccasions = NULL) #I believe that noccasions can be 9
> model0<-secr.fit(capturedata,model=list(D~1,g0~1,sigma~1),buffer=150)

Hi Lauren
As the msg says, you can set start values manually  (the start argument). I suggest you review your input with summary and plot before going further - something looks screwy.
