Hello again!

I've hit a new error in my analyses due to the differences in availability for my traps across a series of sessions. Some sessions have traps that are available the entire time (i.e., 1111), but other sessions have traps that are available only once or twice the entire session (attached example).

I tried to read in the capthist with the 0s still present and although it presented an error message, it was still available to run the summary function on, so I thought it might be a hold over warning. I tried to run a model using it and it gave me the unused traps error.

I tried deleting the 0s in the trap files and it wouldn't let me create the capthist object. What am I missing?

"the unused traps error"? Perhaps you mean "Occasions when no detectors 'used'". I suspect you can avoid that simply by suppressing the check (verify = FALSE). However, I don't fully understand the context, or why "it wouldn't let me create the capthist object".

Suppressing the verify error worked! As to the other issue, I was confused as to whether I should keep the trailing 0s in the input data files or not, as a capture history object wasn't created when I deleted them.

Thank you again!
