Hope your Memorial Day weekend was fantastic.
It is time.
You, the SOVO subscriber, now get access to next Sunday’s class.
The door is open, and there are only a few seats left.
Make sure you’re as capable with commerce as you are with art.
Auditioning and booking jobs are only part of the VO professional’s responsibilities. Managing multiple VO projects is essential to making voiceover a profitable career, and managing clients give you the opportunity to not only show off your performance skills, but the management skills clients so desperately need.
What skills you’ll get:
In this Secrets of VO class, David H. Lawrence XVII teaches you, step-by-step, the process of managing VO projects, organizing workflow and dealing with VO clients and their unique needs. Secrets revealed:
- tracking the audio through the project to completion
- final delivery and payment collection
- negotiating fees and time-frames
- keeping track of all assets on your hard drive
- and more
Copy provided? You bet.
In this BYOC class, all students, Auditors and Participants alike, will be provided with lecture notes and generic VO copy, and they can bring their own brief copy to work on. Participants will be directed and recorded; Auditors will observe that process. The recordings will be given to each Participant to use as mini-starter demos (in advance of completed professional demos), showing their mastery of the particular category of voicework performed.
Reservations are open now. The class will be at the usual time and at the usual place, this Sunday at 5pm at The Actors Comedy Studio. Just go to http://vo2gogo.com/classes, and you’ll be all set.
