I needed to make massive changes to the Secrets database so I decided to proceed in the following way:
  1. Exported to .csv
  2. Edited the .csv file on the computer
  3. Imported back the modified .csv file into Secrets app
  4. Surprise: all items are now duplicated
So if it's not possible to import overwriting items, can I erase the database before importing? I don't find any option to do that.
Otherwise I guess I need to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Thanks!

Hi Cristian,

Correct, import does not overwrite entries. Please do the following:

. Make a backup of your data
. On the home screen where you enter the master password, use the menu to say "forgot my password". This will clear all secrets
. Enter a new master password exactly the same as before
. Import your secrets

Don't forget to delete the CSV file afterwards, you don't want it hanging around afterwards.

Thanks,
Roger
