Dear Sir,
While the newly edited Shafer by our beloved Shivapathasundaram Sir is a marvellous book, I would still go in for Neville purely because of its all colour book! Where Shafer scores over Neville is that the latter does not have a chapter on Dental caries, which can be read from Shafer. I found Shafer to be more of a book for PGs rather than the Ugs.

Dear sir, The latest DCI regulations has recommended a list of books for every subject. For oral pathology DCI has recommended both Shafer and Allen apart from other books. The new syllabus is taken from these books.-Dr.J.Dinakar
