Dear Dr.Yadav

There is tremendous scope for forensic odontology
It is now taught by oral pathologists / oral medicine.
You could have a basic degree and do a specialized course being
offered by certain universities.
There are tremendous opportunities, especially if you work with the
forensic medicine people and the legal system.

Dear Dr Yadav

Though it has tremendous scope everywhere, the scenario in India is
questionable.
It was part of a wider subject taught as MSc "Forensic science" for
which BDS students are eligible to take. (In chennai, they take once
in two years in Madras university).
however, what we learn as part of MDS oral path is tip of an iceberg,
just enough to teach the UG students.Thats wat I feel.

SCOPE what do we mean by this word? research scope or scope to make
money? research scope: all the subject do have reseach scope but only
afew have a good scope to make money . and in speciality were you have
reduced ability to make money you satisfy yourself with pseudo-sense
of research scope to mislead ur juniors.as far as job opening related
to forensic odontology is considered how many fulltime jobs and at
what salary scale is available in india? i think first this subject
has to be nourished stablished and then comes question of scope??? we
oral pathologist should be trained enough to handle dental evidences,
how many of us can truely identify individuals only by comparing lip
pattern or rugae pattern ??? atleast this basic training should be
included in u.g. level training in practicals of oral pathology.than
rest of the DISCUSSION
thanking you alll regards(no intentions to offend anybody)
