Hey all!

This past weekend I had the privilege of attending a couple workshops at the Brecht Forum in NYC, and was reminded that I know some super-smart folks who have spent a lot of time thinking about movement building. One of the people that I think would be an excellent asset to our upcoming SE convergence is Brooke Lehman. She facilitates an amazing workshop on movement building that includes a thoughtful analysis of how to connect our big-picture ideals with today's strategies and actions. I talked to her briefly, and she is very open to the idea of coming to Florida in March. So I offer this up for consideration and discussion!

Below a link to the program she most recently participated in.

And a biography:
Brooke is a a Worker/Owner of Bluestockings Bookstore. A founding member of the Continental Direct Action Network, and other radical organizations, Brooke's focus as an activist has been on designing and facilitating directly democratic organizational structures. A student of the late Murray Bookchin, Brooke spent a number of years teaching at the Institute for Social Ecology, where she now serves on the Board. In addition to Bluestockings, Brooke is currently working on an alternative energy project and foundation called Yansa; and on the Stay Free Video Project: a six part educational series to help activists and their communities resist state repression.

this is great. we could begin figuring out a process for deciding and
inviting guest speakers/workshop facilitators. also, in terms of
figuring out a budget, it make sense to me to ask folks what they
would need to be able to participate.
