Hey Michael,

I'd like to get the group's opinion on how we should edit the podcasts, and also ere to your judgement on which interviews/talks are worth keeping. My vote is to have sequenced shows with commentary, rather than the raw playback, but if that's going to be headache to edit, perhaps we can do a combination of the two.

Even if we don't "officially" post every talk (since we will also have video), I'd like for each of the speakers to have access to their recorded presentation. Perhaps you can put those in dropbox and I can email each speaker w/ how they can download it.

Would you like to keep the published podcasts hosted on your site and then we'll link to them on Selenium HQ, Sauce Labs, etc? You did the work so I don't want to drive traffic away from you :)

Thank you!
Ashley

Ashley, there's still plenty of "conference business" to deal with still.

Such as, I have nearly 20 hours of audio... how do we want to edit it? Which talks/interviews/etc. do we want to use? I'll have most of the files parsed and then be able to post them someplace for review (drop box, my site, etc.).

Also, let me know how you'd like to sequence the podcasts. They can be as simple as raw playback or we could make sequenced shows of them with commentary. Happy to organize them any way that will work for everyone concerned, just let me know what you need :).

Thanks,

Let's keep this group going. It won't be long before we're planning next year's conference :)

Hi Ashley.

Actually, my "site" is just a blog, it doesn't have much in the way of solid storage (i.e. none really) so if you want to host the finished files, I'm fine with that, just give me credit for edits and a link back to my blog so I can keep a cross link to the files and I'm a happy guy :).

One thing to note... the headset microphone has a 'chirp" in the speeches for those who use it. I don't think it renders them unusable, but the better audio was consistently with the handheld mic. I can upload some examples for you later tonight and you can hear the differences and see what we should do.

As to producing shows,I can do it, but it takes time, and doing a produced show would limit my output to about one or two a week  (plus I produce TWiST, which is a weekly thing). In any event, I'm happy to work with you and strike a balance. Let me know which talks are the most important (I'm thinking keynotes first), and we can take it from there.

Thanks,
--MKL
