Weekly Events

 

Tuesday Night Fun Run: Meet next at Carle Sport Medicine. Park on the north side of the parking lot. Meet at 6:00 at  for announcements and then running.

 

Wednesday Speed Work: Meet at the Arboretum parking lot (corner of Lincoln and St Mary’s Rd) at 6:00.

 

Thursday Night Riggs Run: Meet in the parking lot by the front door at 6:00. The run is approximately 4 miles through the Stone Creek Subdivision and end right where you started. Stay for some social time with your fellow club members.

 

As the weather continues to change (nothing new in Central Illinois), please check emails and FaceBook for changes on the day of the event. A "No Run" will be posted if the weather looks too dangerous for us to be out.

Great job to all of those who ran in races this past weekend. Please note this week will will be kicking off our Saturday Summer Group Runs and the Third Saturday Social Run.

Saturday Summer Group Runs are intended but not limited to those planning on running a fall half or full marathon or for those just wanting company for there longer runs. Each run starts at 7:00 am at different location each week. The place, distance, route, and person in charge will be sent out each Monday with the Weekly Update email.

Third Saturday Social Run will be incorporated with the Saturday Summer Group Runs but will always start at the Urbana Farmers Market. We will meet at the parking lot located at the corner of Illinois and Vine St in Urbana. We encourage each runner to stay and hang out at the farmers market with your other running friends.

The word for this week (and most likely next week) is HYDRATE!!!! We are expecting high temps in the 90s with heat indexes of over 100. Please be careful when running. go slower and shorter as needed.

Saturday Summer Morning Group Run: This week we will meet at Lake of the woods at 7:00 at the route 47parking lot. Brad Giffel is the Board Member in charge. The mileage is up to you there is the bike trial and Buffalo Trace trail to run.
