This is the place to post anything about our entertainment venue.
That would include suggestons as to how to manage the buld and how to
get the events.

Hobo Cast Away Report-Aug 07th,08 by OZ
Alrighty, here's the current progress of the Hobo Island and the
community situation here.
Last Saturday's meeting went in an entirely different direction as the
original. It went from a long voting concept to proposing I go ahead
and choose some people that I'm certain would be beneficial to helping
me manage the events and sandbox events. I'm sorry for the previous
notices I sent out on howto consider whom to vote for. I'm going to
list the people I think will be great for helping me, and each and
everyone of you may feel free to IM me and let me know if I have
overlooked anyone that would really be a wonderful addition to helping
me with our Hobo Community.

Events: (Schedule Events, Create Events, Deal with Musicians, Listen
to or take a Poll from hobos as to what they want, help out any
buildings helping them, and to have fun!)

-Lita Withnail- On the first meeting there was a big cheer that Lita
have this role. She was my choice too. She's always fun and
inventing new ways to have fun such as dress up parties and bringing a
smile to every situation. Her enthusiasim* and her participation
makes her about 3 people.
-Reggier Rimbaud- Is a long time active hobo. She and Lita work well
together. Reggier is a bit shy on getting involved, but I've
convinced her to try it out, and if it doesn't work for her it's ok.
So ya'll be good to her and don't scare her off.
-Dreft Jurack- Is a recomendation by Lita. He's another long time
hobo. I haven't gotten a chance to speak with him yet, but if Lita
recommends him... I'm gonna leave his name up anyways and wait til I
can talk to him.

Sandbox: (Teach building classes, or even teach classes, sandbox
management, come up with fun sandbox events)

-Heather Shortbread-Is an ancient friend of mine, hobo, and neighbor
of Calleta. She would love to teach building classes in the sandbox
and even host a fun building game called somethin like Primitory.
-Lepidus Thor-

-Lindsey Warwick- They both have worked on the island quite a bit
together, and due to the island's near completion they'll have more
time to goof off and teach. They both said they wouldn't mind
teaching a class from time to time in the sandbox. Lindsey is also
very good at using SLOFT if anone is intrested in a class by her.
-Baka Tereshchenko- Annoys the crap out of me sometimes, but he's a
great guy and is enthusiastic about having build competitions in the
sandbox. I don't want him to manage the cleanliness of the sandbox as
of yet, but because buildin hobos might enjoy a competition from time
to time, I'd like to make him part of the team and let him manage the
competitions. I haven't asked him if he'd like this role yet, nor do
I know if he'll accept due to my previous statement.

So these are the people, that I would like on the Hobo Council to
greatly help me by better managing the group. Again, if there is
anyone in this list that you disagree with me on, feel fre to write
me, and write me if you think I have overlooked anyone. I want these
people helping me to be having fun at these tasks, and I don't expect
it to be treated ike a job. I also did away with the idea for a Hobo
Mediator. I still think it's a silly concept to have in such a
group. I just like most people have someone to confide in when I get
stressed about something in SL. If anyone really really needs someone
to talk to, I'll do my best to make time to talk to you.
Crude, I also want to talk to Leslie Thilley and Cooljoke if they want
to be involved... hadn't gotten to that one yet

HOBO ISLAND PROGRESS - YIPPIE
-Cooljoke's fast food drive through has been replaced by Veryfluffy's
Bunny Buger Diner. Cooljoke has been abscent and I have saved a copy
of his build for his return, but I really need to start workin up that
side of the city.
-There is now a working Tardis in the sandbox, courtesy of BETLOG Hax
and his scripting abilities. I have also placed one other OUTSIDE of
the sandbox. If you see a very bright blue glowy phalic object. Give
it a left click ;) A Tardis should appear to offer taking you to
several other parts of the Island.
-I have done some terraforming in the Pikey Camp and rearranging of
the Pikey builds. It's off to a great start but it's got a good way
to go to make it feel at home.
-Noiz and Quenya are doing a great job on the Events area still...
ever improving. I added some crappy lights I made. Actually, I like
them.
-Dru Braken-Has marked his territory for the City Park after Lindsey
and Lepidus rearranged some filler buildings to make room.
-Once the events area is done, I'll work on putting it into a
holodeck, so that Leslie can size up how she wants her Dance Club to
be. This is in order to save on prims.
-Last but not least, for those of you whom have not noticed the large
building in the east part of the island. Yes, that is the beloved
brewery come back to life. Rask and Eolene are making a new version.
I'm most definately sure I have left somthing out, but things are
running along smoothly and I am proud and happy of all the progress
the hobos have made. I'm going to have to start my talks with some
musicians.... hopefully not alone now :) and see about their
schedules... so I can think up a good date for an official opening of
the island with lots of live music.

All party goers will be mindful of others, share the lurv and kindly
not put gum on the speaker cabinets. Plastic glasses will be issued
at the entrance to the main arena for drinks and molotov cocktails
will be on hand to voice your opinion. All glass is re-cyclable.
Juggling is specifically discouraged throughout the two days as its
rubbish. Anyone seen to be attempting to throw things around in a
coordinated fashion will be ejected.
Staff will be on hand for further queries and the maintainence of
pleasure as we've defined it.
Please note: there is no first aid tent and kids found wandering will
be pointed toward the sewers. They are not our responsibilty (it was
your choice) and besides, they get in the way when you're trying to
hit the bar.
