Hi Nathalie,

Happy New Year and a quick update on SecondFriend: Kate, Amy and I
just did some catching-up of what has happend in the last few weeks
and what our next steps are.

I summarised one of the main insights I took away from the feedback
from Interactivism: we need to learn more about the requirements,
regulations and limitations the IT systems at helpline networks are
bound by to ensure that SecondFriend complies to those. We would
benefit a lot from being able to sit down with someone who has that
technical background? Could you think of anyone you could potentially
put us in touch with who has any insight and/or responsibility in that
area?

On Feb 5th all three of us plan to attend the drop-in session at the
Parliament for Safer Internet Day. I don't have more recent
information that what I forwarded on Thu, but assume this will be
going ahead. We hope this will be another great networking opportunity
where he could potentially win allies in politics. Since we expect
discussions there to focus on non-technical issues we want to get an
overview of research and studies that exist on helplines and
particularly their existing offerings for online counseling.

In March we plan to host a workshop or focus group where we would like
to invite experts to get advice on how to get SecondFriend from a MVP
into a platform that could be adopted by organisations and how to
position it i.e. branding and potential business models.
