Friends and Neighbors -
My understanding is City Council continued the review of City Manager to June 10. There are two City Councilors who have not been in favor of releasing Mr. Adcock.  They need to hear from more citizens of Canby so they understand whether you are in support of letting Adcock go or if you think he should be retained.  It is not too late to weight in. Just send an email to Mayor Melody Thompson. (see email address below).

If you are uncertain and want to know more, I encourage you to read the independent  Kroeplin report, as well as, the letters previously submitted to City Council by the Chamber of Commerce and Concerned Citizens (signed by 96 citizens). The Canby Herald will be putting the complete Kroeplin report back on their main page (or correct the archive page "Kroeplin Report") in the next day or so. Interesting reading. Better than a novel. Too bad it's not fiction.

I will not bug you any more about this matter, just wanted to keep you informed since the SECNA has not had time to call a meeting to address this issue in time. If you know of someone who may be interested, please spread the word.

Thanks so much,
Susie

Subject: City Council Meeting tonight re: Mark Adcock

Friend and Neighbors -
FYI, City Council is meeting this evening to continue their discussion on whether to retain the current City Manager. If you have an opinion for or against, I encourage you to send a brief personal email expressing your opinion to the mayor/city council (see email address below). Time is of the essence. Now is when City Council needs to hear from the community, not after the decision has been made.

Thanks,
Susie

Subject: [SECNA] City Council Meeting tonight re: Mark Adcock

As we not have time to hold a Neighborhood meeting, and as I am loath
to send a letter under the auspices of the NA without a meeting, I am
providing wording that you can send to the Mayor or a Council member
in regards to Mark Adcock in time for the meeting this evening.
Please feel free to compose your own message that better expresses
your feelings.  Remember as the Association has not been able to meet,
the opinions are those of individuals, not the Association.

The email address for the Mayor is:

thom...@ci.canby.or.us

Possible wording:

   To: Canby City Council

As a resident of the City, I would like to add my voice to the
concerns already expressed by other residents that it is time to
replace Canby's current City Administrator, Mark Adcock. We are
unhappy with his management style, as well as, his judgement in hiring
and managing City employees.
It is apparent that Mr. Adcock has lost his credability and
respect in the community.

   Respectfully,
