Highlights of the Circular :
This is with reference to the SEBI circular no. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/DOS2/CIR/P/2019/10 dated January 4, 2019, and Exchange Notice 20231212-50 dated December 12, 2023 regarding the reporting of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) applications and systems offered and used by market intermediaries.
Accordingly, Trading Members are required to submit the details on the captioned matter for the period ending March 31, 2026, as per the applicability criteria given in attached circular.
Trading Members, who are offering or using applications or systems as defined in Annexure ‘B’ to aforesaid SEBI Circular are required to submit the details in AI/ML Reporting Form. Further, Trading Members who are not offering or using the applications or systems as defined in Annexure ‘B’ are also required to submit a Confirmation Reporting.
Further, members’ attention is drawn to the Exchange Notice no. 20250718-8 dated July 18, 2025, regarding technology-based sharing mechanisms of common submissions among Exchanges. As per said circular, Trading Members of the Exchange who are also registered with NSE are required to submit AI/ML details to NSE only. NSE will further share this submission with the Exchange.
Members of the Exchange who are not registered with NSE will continue to make submissions to the Exchange as per existing process i.e. through the BEFS (BSE Electronic Filing System) module-Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning > Reporting Form (A I M L). The Portal link for submission shall remain open till April 15, 2026.
The referred Annexure ‘B’ and User Manual is attached on the top right after clicking on the module in BEFS.
All members are advised to ensure submission on or before April 15, 2026.
