Date of Issue: 16-10-2025
Issuer: MCX-SX Enhancement of UCC File Format and Introduction of Application Programming Interface (API) for UCC upload across all Segments Highlights of MCX-SX Circular dated October-16-2025
This is with reference to Exchange circular MSE/ID/17884/2025 dated September 30th , 2025 regarding Unique Client Code (UCC) file format to upload UCC data through the “My Exchange Portal by Trading Member".
API for UCC upload
To facilitate Trading Members, the Exchange has introduced an Application Programming Interface (API) for UCC upload. This allows Trading Members to upload Unique Client Codes (UCC) directly into the Exchange database. The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of UCC data submissions, streamlining the overall process for better compliance and operational effectiveness.
The user manual for the UAT environment explaining the process to be followed for availing the API facility is provided on the path in the SFTP (Extranet) Server.
Members are required to successfully test the API in the UAT environment before using the API in the live setup. The dates for test setup of the Application Programming Interface (API) for UCC upload shall be communicated separately.
New UCC file format
To facilitate testing and preparedness, the Exchange has enabled the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment for members and vendors for validating the enhanced UCC file format. The updated file formats, UAT environment link details and user manual are available in Annexure 1.
These changes for new UCC file formats shall be effective from November 01st, 2025 (i.e. UCC uploaded/modified should be done in the new file format only).
