Highlights of CDSL Circular dated November 22, 2023
DPs are advised to refer to Communique No. CDSL/OPS/DP/REPRT/2023/640 dated November 02, 2023, wherein DPs were advised to note that the following fields have been made mandatory while processing of demat requests in WebCDAS (Demat setup and Demat setup through upload):
- Dispatch Date
- Dispatch Document ID
- Dispatch Name
Based on representation
received from DPs stating that dispatch details viz. Dispatch document ID and
Dispatch Name are not available at the time of demat set-up, these fields have
been kept as optional.
In view of the above, Dispatch document ID and Dispatch Name shall be optional
fields at the time of demat set-up. These fields may be updated using
modification option till the time RTA accepts the demat request. DPs are
advised to note that Dispatch Date shall remain as mandatory field allowing DPs
to enter future date. The revised file format considering the above changes is
enclosed as Annexure-A.
The other functionalities mentioned in the Communique CDSL/OPS/DP/REPRT/2023/640 dated November 02, 2023, shall
remain as it is.
DPs are advised to note that the above-mentioned functionality is scheduled to be released on Friday, November 24, 2023.
DPs are advised to take note of the same and incorporate necessary changes in their back-office software if any.
