Covers content posted on any Social Media Platform (SMP) such as:
YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, X, LinkedIn, Threads, Telegram, Reddit, etc.
Includes content in public or closed groups.
If entity has single SEBI registration:
Must display registered name and registration number:
On the home page of the social media handle
At the beginning of every securities-related post/video
If entity has multiple SEBI registrations:
Home page: Provide a weblink to website listing all SEBI registrations.
Each content: Disclose relevant SEBI registered name & number based on the capacity in which content is posted.
(Examples: mutual fund distributors, PMS distributors, authorized participants)
Agent with single registration:
Must disclose:
Principal entity’s registered name & number, and
Agent’s own registered name & number
Required on:
Home page of social media handle
Beginning of each content
Agent with multiple registrations:
Home page: Weblink listing:
Principal entities’ SEBI details
Agent’s own registrations and capacities
Each content: Must show:
Relevant principal entity’s registration
Agent’s own registration
