Highlights of  the Circular :

DPs are advised to refer Communique no. CDSL/OPS/DP/POLCY/2025/661 dated September 30, 2025, regarding Non-charging of Annual Maintenance Charge (AMC) in demat accounts consisting of illiquid, suspended or delisted securities.

In view of the above Communique, DPs are advised to note that the list of Beneficial Owner (BO)s having the demat accounts in “To be Closed” status and holding only securities that are illiquid, suspended for trading, or delisted, is being shared with the DPs for reviewing at their end and for not charging the AMC. The list of securities that are illiquid, suspended for trading, or delisted are considered basis on the details received from Stock Exchange/s.

DP wise list of demat accounts / BO IDs that are in “To be closed” have been kept in respective DPs billing folder with file naming convention as “BLNG<<DP ID>>NO_AMC_ISINS_06072026.tar”. In case of no such BO IDs are available for your DP, then said file will not be available for download in your DP billing folder.

DPs are once again advised not to charge the AMC to such BO ID/s subject to the circumstances mentioned in our communique dated September 30, 2025.

DPs are advised to take note of the same and ensure compliance.
