Highlights of the Circular
This is with reference to the Exchange notice no. 20260313-21 dated March 13, 2026, on FATF Public statement on jurisdictions on call for action and increased monitoring - February 2026 Plenary released by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) which inter-alia, stated that:
“As part of the on-going efforts to identify and work with jurisdictions with strategic AML / CFT deficiencies, FATF has released Public Statements after February 2026 Plenary with regard to:
a) High risk jurisdictions subject to a call for action
b) Jurisdictions under increased monitoring”
In view of the same, all members are required to update the actions taken by them in the prescribed format in electronic form on BEFS (BSE Electronic Filing System). The module for submission is enabled at the following path:
All members are advised to ensure compliance with the above requirement and submit FATF declaration in ELECTRONIC FORM ONLY through BEFS by April 23, 2026. The link for submission of the information/data will be activated from 1st April 2026.
In case of any non- submission/delayed submission by a member, disciplinary action will be initiated in accordance with exchange Notice No. 20251010-20 dated October 10th, 2025.
The declaration submitted by members shall be considered as pending in case it is not stamped/physically signed on the letter head of the organization or digitally signed by the Authorized signatory /Compliance Officer of the organization.
A detailed procedure/user manual is enclosed as Annexure_1.
Members are requested to take note of the above and ensure compliance.
