Earlier registration forms were prescribed under repealed SEBI (Stock Brokers) Regulations, 1992.
Under SEBI (Stock Brokers) Regulations, 2026, forms are to be specified by SEBI or recognised Stock Exchange.
SEBI has now specified:
Form A – Application for registration as Stock Broker
Form B – Application for registration as Clearing Member
Form C – Certificate of Registration
Circular effective retrospectively from January 07, 2026.
Forms include detailed disclosure requirements:
Member details
Organizational structure
Net worth & PAN
Director/Partner details
Experience in securities/derivatives market
Fit & Proper criteria compliance
Exchanges/Clearing Corporations must implement and disseminate the circular.
Inform members/participants and publish on website.
Amend Bye-laws, Rules & Regulations accordingly.
Ensure use of prescribed Forms (A, B & C).
Submit application in prescribed format.
Provide:
Net worth proof
PAN details
MOA/AOA or Partnership Deed
Clearing agreement (if applicable)
Pay requisite fee as per Chapter IX of SEBI (Stock Brokers) Regulations, 2026.
Provide declaration regarding:
Insolvency/defaulter status
Compliance with ‘Fit and Proper Person’ criteria (Schedule II of SEBI (Intermediaries) Regulations, 2008).
Ensure correctness of information (false information may lead to cancellation of registration).
