Minutes of Meeting held on 6th May 2015
Sub: NAAC Accreditation of SECE
Members: Dean – R&I, Mr. Kannan, Director – IT, HODs and Coordinators - Accreditation
Principal Madam chaired the meeting and announced that our college will apply for NAAC accreditation as early as possible. She outlined the importance of accreditation to take the institution to the next level. Following schedule was proposed by Madam.
NAAC Process - SCHEDULE
1. NAAC Awareness Programme and audit will be conducted on 15th, 16th and 17th June 2015. Dr. Ramesh Kasetwar, Pune will conduct the audit.
2. Submission of Letter of Intent (LOI) with relevant docs on 30th June 2015.
3. Preparation of Self-study Report (SSR) (Sept 2015)
4. Uploading of SSR in the Institute website (Sept 2015)
5. Submission of SSR, AQAR, Annual audited accounts and tentative dates to NAAC. (Sept 2015)
6. Expected Peer team visit to the Institute. (Dec 2015)
7. Possible Grading (A/B/C/D) and certification by NAAC (Mar 2016)
As proposed by Principal Madam, I will work as NAAC – Coordinator and Prof. John Augustine as Co-Coordinator. Every effort will be taken to achieve the target.
I presented to the members on the topic ‘An overview of NAAC Accreditation process’. HODS were asked to prepare a Dept PPT to present to Dr. Ramesh, NAAC Consultant.
Required supporting documents, Dept PPT Template, List of files and sample SSRs will be provided to HODS by 7th May 2015.
