- Vijaya Narayan Shrestha, first batch BNKS, was awarded ‘Honorary Degree of Doctor of Social Science’ by University of Wolverhampton,UK day before yesterday (11 Sep 14). Photos attached.

 

-  Mingmar Lama, also from first batch, was recommended for promotion to DIG, Nepal Police last week.

 

I am sure all members and their family will join me to congratulate them. We are proud of you two, well down!

Dear SEBSers,

I hope all is well with you. It has been a long time since there was a ‘buzz’ in the SEBS-UK community. I personally feel that it’s high time we revive our communication, contacts and get in touch with each other. Hence, I would like to propose that we organise a get-together and meet up. In order to do so, I would like to request you to give some thoughts and recommendations on when, where and how?

 

- When? Please note that this is suggested to be a one day event.

1)  April Bank Holiday: Fri 03 Apr-Mon 06 Apr.

2)  May Bank Holiday: Sat 02 May-Mon 04 May.

3)  Aug Bank Holiday: Sat 29 Aug-Mon 31 Aug.

4)  Any other day; Saturday/Sunday?

 

- Where?

1)  Feltham Community College, Browell's Lane, Feltham TW13 7EF (about 300 people capacity)

2)  Tamudhee Hall, 160-162 Mychett Road, Mychett, Surrey, GU16 6AE (about 150 people capacity)

3)  Any recommendations, any other place?

Note:  Venue depends on the availability of the hall. So sooner we come up with a confirmed date of the get-together the more chances we will have with our choice of venue.

 

- How?

1)  Day event. (all members, families and guests meet at about 10 am, guf-gaf /  drinks / tipantapan / lunch, more guf-gaf and disperse at about 7 pm).

2)  Any other suggestions how we should go ahead?

 

Note: Of course we would all have liked to do events like in the past; meeting, camping for couple of days, bonfire... we can discuss about this when we meet but for the time being, I suggest we just aim to meet.

 

It would be good to hear from the ExCom of your views on this too, preferably by mid-Mar 15 so we can arrange something in time for the summer.
