Dear all,

A new online voting had been live since 17th August after AGM.

Almost all of them were un-opposed except 2nd VP, hence competition is on just until 17:00 (5pm) Nepal time.

List of people WHO VOTED can clearly be seen on sebsonline website. It is to worry that SEBS-UK representative's names are missing, which cannot be understood why?
Is our glorious SEBS-UK still on for namesake and members are not aware of what's going on or is it that who cares & bothers?

A click of button can certainly help them to shape up SEBS. It's up to individual how to keep up BNKS spirit.

Dear all,

I do not know whether SEBS UK FB is active or not but just wanted to inform all that General Gaurav is coming to UK on official visit from 6 Sep 13. Kamansing Rana (from 5th batch) called me last week that Himanshu (from 5th batch as well)  told him that Gen is very keen to meet the SEBSer in UK, nothing is confirmed yet but Himangshu mentioned that Gen could be available on 7 or 8 Sep.  I believe he will be staying in London area, probably closer to Embassy , guys in London, have you got any venue nearby so that we can host him.  I do not think we will have more than couple of hrs with him.  My plan is to meet  him in a restaurant.

Hitman dai and Devendra Ale have already confirmed their availability.

Dear Purna dai,

thank you information.
this is interesting and an opportunity for SEBSers & SEBS-UK but .................... (obviously i don't have words).

8th September is sunday and i think people can make it (works off, less traffic, not bad transportation).  i am certainly in and surely others can join.

having seen Gen Gaurav SJB Rana during SEBS meet in Nepal (some photos), I think he is keen on SEBS and it's activities. So his visit, for SEBS-UK is a chance to develop a further relation not only with him but other diaspora living in the UK to expand our network and support our ethics of being "Excellent" (wherever and whatever you are).

Lets have agenda/s of meeting Gen Rana - kehi ta garau?

With regards

Guys,

Though I will not make it due to commuting London-Leeds during weekends, however I can direct you for a nice restaurant called "Hungry Buddha". They serve excellent food but you have to bring your own drinks. Please google it to get direction. It is not far off from Central London (Embassy).

Harit Bhai,

We have been there for few company occasions. The foods were fantastic but it depends on individual tastes. We had more Brits than Nepalese. The venue is quite nice. If you know a better place then please do recommend to others. I did not see any other Nepalese restaurant near to Central London. China town is another option.....

Best,

Dear Laxman dai,
Sorry for late reply.
100C were out on camping in Lake District over bank holiday & couldn't reach to you.

There are some Nepalese restaurants around the Greenwich park. We were in Everest inn for few celebration occasion. Parking were normally available.

I don't know anyone working/owning it but had really good times.

But any of nice available venue can be fine as long as we can make this meet worthwhile.

I suggest Kailash MoMo Restaurant at Woolwich which offers typical Nepalese food n snacks for a reasonable price n very friendly environment.

For parking there is a 24 hour Tesco where cars can be parked free for 2 hours or street parking available in side roads.

Dear all,

Just wanted to inform you that Chief will be available on 8 Sep 13 for couple of hrs only.  DA confirmed that he will be available between 1200-1500 hrs.  He will be accompanied by his wife, Gen Victor Rana+1, DA+1 and 1 (all together 7) and they are planning to visit London on that day so we will try to meet them some where (TBC) and have gafsaf.  Ideally we would like to spend more time with him but his visit plan is very short and schedule is very tight.

Can we confirm who are available and Harit bhai, seems like you are a 'Londoner!!', any suggestions for venue.  How far is 'Everest Inn' from the Embassy?

Dear Purna dai,
It's good to hear this.
Obviously his time is very limited, I think near by embassy any good restaurant should work. This would include Kensington high street, Notting hill Gate area, Earls court for less travel time. Greenwich will be far.

Should we also be promoting nepali business then Laxman Dai's recommendation will be nearest. Shephard bush & Else Ealing broadway has many nepalese dining options.
To be aware - I am not sure if some of these restaurants are opened 12-15:00 hrs.

Dai, I have just move to Gillingham, Kent since july this year which is bit far from London yet I remember London area. Once list gets confirmed we can surly organise spot as well, can't we?

Hoping to see more sebsers on this occasion.

Dear Sebsers,

Please find attached a workable plan initiated by Mstr Bishwas Chepang (125D) for the good and benefit of relatively laid back and forgotten Chepang society in Nepal. Should we encourage his motto "home where the heart lies"? He is asking for mere Rs 40,000 to kick start! The floor is yours for discussion. He has posted in (fb) under Sebs community.

If you are happy. I can lead this with £50 towards his well worth aim. I am visiting Nepal at the end of September for a month and the money can be arranged to hand it over to him under the banner of Sebs UK. Your thoughts please.

Dear Laxman dai,
Thank you for email. More than I could read his proposal (check out SEBS-UK FB page)  he has some photos which makes anyone think.

I will contribute for this Nobel cause. Please forward your banking detail so to deposit ASAP. This is the time to contribute as exchange rate is high (obviously not good for country's economy) so even small contribution will be big enough.

Can't we sacrifice a pint of beer or a large latte value?

Looking forward for helping hands!

Dear Co-ordinator and the team - Chief's visit,
I am glad to hear about the visit, I wish I could participate and attend the dinner. Unfortunately, I am in Nepal on a holiday (bed ridden with viral flu!). I wish you all the best and hope the Chief will have a good time in the UK.

Best wishes,

There is a Mc Donald's in Notting Hill Gate which is 5 mins away from Nepalese Embassy or else there are few nice Chinese Restaurant in Shepherds Bush which is 15 mins away from Embassy.

Thank you

Guys,

It is confirmed that we will have lunch at Mandarin Kitchen (see below for address), I will try to speak to the restaurant to confirm on menu and rest. According to Laxman it's only 5 mins away from Embassy.  Gentle plea guys, ensure we are in that restaurant by 1145 hrs so that we can receive as a group.

Attendance list are as follows:

Devendra Ale
Khemraj Maden
Tek Loktam
Surendra Kunwar
Nar Rana
Harit
Purna Gurung
Tej Rana(TBC)

Harit bhai, I'm sure there must be few guys living around London who can spare 2-3 hrs on Sunday to spend time with the Chief, can you please conform on this.

DA Col Bishwa Ghimire has send open invitation to all the guys who attend this event and it's on 9 Sep starting at 1830hrs, I'm on course so can not make it but I believe Devendra is attending as GM QOGLR.  Any queries and issue please contact me.

You can vote through sebs website - temp.sebsonline.com. You might need to send an email to ad...@sebsonline.org for verification purpose.

Dear SEBSers,

We are now pleased to CONFIRM the get-together as follows:

-Date:  Sun, 20 Dec 15 (1200-1900 hrs)
-Venue:  Bhetghat Restaurant, 9A-11A High Street, Aldershot, GU11 1BH (Tel: 01252-311120)
-Car Park:  High Street Multi-Storey, Wellington Avenue, Aldershot, GU11 1SD (Sunday all day=60p)
-Cost: £10.00 (Nepali style buffet lunch).  Drinks, pay own.

BOOKING/RESERVATIONS: Please click/tap on the link http://tinyurl.com/SEBS-UK and fill in the form to book your seat. No need to open account or pay when booking. Plz pay at the door on the day. Link works both on Facebook and Viber. The form should help us keep track of attendees for management purpose (estimates for food/drinks, seating arrangements etc).

Members, their families, friends and relatives are all welcome. Success of our event will depend mainly on two things:
1)      Number of members attending, the more the better.
2)      Quality of arrangement/management by the Organising Committee (OC).

It’s time to form up an OC. We all know that everybody is busy in the UK and no one has any time but if we share work we can easily overcome this. We need names of volunteer Co-Ordinators (Co-Ord) by Sun 22 Nov 15 for:

- Booking Co-Ord:  ticketing, booking, compile name list of attendees.
- Event Promoter:  promote on Facebook, Viber, all SEBS websites, media and areas incl Europe.
- Local Area Reps:  as many as possible from all over the UK to get in touch with individual members.
- Central Area Rep:  Centralise Local Area Reps and make a list.
- Food & Drinks and venue: Sunil Rana
- Entertainment Co-Ord: to keep the children and members occupied and amazed on the day.
- Event Manager:  setup timetable and host the show on the day (Subash doing this temp)
- Get-Together Co-Ordinator: I volunteer to take this responsibility. I also wish to act as a Cashier and Event Manager till someone comes forward to take these responsibilities.

If you can help with anything whatsoever plz let me know. If anybody have any agendas that they think need discussing we can take this opportunity when we are all together at one place on the day. Plz send your agendas to me asap. I would also like to invite members who wish to do a short (about 10 min) presentation on subject/issue important or beneficial for the SEBS community to plz forward their names with subject matter to me.
We have also created SEBS-UK viber group, plz keep adding members. Also keep on checking SEBS-UK facebook for updates. These two methods seem effective to communicate and update members.

We will keep building and adding Co-Ords as appropriate to help the OC. We need names so please volunteer. Plz keep suggestion, ideas.....rolling in.  Whatever we do we will always remain fair, transparent and do it in the most economical way, the values we learnt at our school.

Sorry for too much ‘ganthan’. That’s it for today!

Get-Together Co-Ordinator
