Dear Santosh,
Thats a great initiative. I have been out of UK for last couple of years and am here briefly. I am happy to make a contribution of 50 pounds. It is indeed a national tragedy.
Since I am going to Nepal in about 10 days time, perhaps I can give it straight to SEBS office once I reach there as part of my SEBS-UK contribution.
Bishnu, as you suggested in an earlier email, it would be great to have a charity dinner in Oct. May have to iron out the details as thanking SEBS teachers will bring out questions like - 'What about the rest of teachers?' Maybe just a SEBS gathering with complimentary dinner for SEBS teachers - something like that.
Meanwhile, it is very
important to harness the experience and knowledge of so many SEBS members and try to disseminate that knowledge through
talks etc and of course, and at the same time to develop good social network.
Just my few thoughts.
Warm regards,
Sampurna ( 684A)
Dear Sebsers
Sebs Nepal has taken an initiative in helping SunKoshi flood
victims. Due to massive landslides, many houses were destroyed, more than 30 people
are confirmed dead and hundreds missing. It is definitely worth cause supporting and I hope sebs-uk can make some contribution.
If we can collect some clothings, or donate money, we could arrange for these to be sent to Nepal to help flood victims. I will see what would be the best way for everyone to contribute some money for this cause and communicate it to you all.
Looking forward to your response.
Regards
Santosh ("283c")
