It’s too silent, especially during compiling a program. I’m thinking the next rev should include a piezo speaker that play the grinding and clunking noises we are accustomed to with floppies. 😊  Thanks for all the work you do. - Eric

I do kind of enjoy the sound effects. GoTek and DREM include this ability. Good suggestion.

 

As for monitoring I/O activity: On the H8 front panel there’s a space for a 5th LED (above the 4 indicators on the left of the red window). I have used this in the past as a disk activity monitor. I used it with the Z67-IDE+ but could also connect it to the I/O LED on the Dual CF board…

The ION LED on the H8 front panel is a good indicator of disk activity for the dual CF board(s).
