That front panel is a standard blank "filler" panel used on DEC H960
racks in the late PDP-8 and early PDP-11 era.
What I suspect happened here was the owner got ahold of one of those
panels and drilled/cut it to support the switches and LEDs, and
transplanted them (along with the nameplate) to this panel. This would
also explain why the labels are scraps of paper taped to the panel.
DEC was not a "kit" company...they were far too "corporate" for that.
Even buying completed hardware from DEC as an individual was often
difficult.

It continues to look pretty grubby to me... the photos of the inside
show a lot of rust and other discoloration on the circuit boards...
not a good sign.
In addition to the homebrew front panel, the chassis is not Heathkit
either. It really looks like a totally homebrew job... with maybe some
Heathkit parts used in the process. For sure it is not an authentic H11
"system".

Ahh ok, I hadn't noticed that the chassis wasn't Heath.
The weird thing is that the seller now seems to think that anything
DEC- or PDP-related is "Heathkit".
