This was the closest replacement I could find for the CEN-U06 transistor on the video driver board in my H89. I just got a notification from mouser that they are EOL so I thought I'd let the group know in case anyone wants to order spares: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/610-CEN-U07

Sorry, MPSU06 was the original part. CEN-U06 was the exact replacement from Central Semiconductor, but those were already unobtainium so I ordered the CEN-U07 to replace it instead.

There's nothing particularly special about the MPS-U06 except Motorola's peculiar case. It's a 1w medium power NPN transistor with Vceo(max) = 100v, Icc=2A continuous, and a gain of about 100 at Icc=50mA. If you have trouble getting an exact replacement, there are plenty of alternatives.

The pin arrangement is different than most otherwise compatible replacements I could find.

Most power transistors have the collector in the middle, so there are quite a few candidates if you're willing to bend the pins into a different arrangement. For example, the Toshiba TTC011BQ (Mouser #757-TTC011BQ, $0.59 each) should work.

Or if you want one with the same pinouts, how about the ZETEX ZTX653STZ (Mouser #522-ZTX653STZ $0.86 each)
