I'm surprised that it hasn't been mentioned here, since it's been going around other Heath groups: It looks like Heath Company might be trying to start up again.

See their web page at: http://heathkit.com/

Also, there's a survey at: http://heathkit.com/survey/index.php/278489/lang-en

Interesting. Wonder if they are primarily thinking HAM stuff... I'm not a HAM guy but it seems way more popular than the 8bit computers.

It sure looks that way, but I made some suggestions otherwise when I filled
out the survey just now.

That said, though, I'm a n00b in the Heath computer world, but I grew up
with their ham equipment. I still have a lot of it and will always love it.
I applaud ANY effort to bring back Heathkits, even if they don't include
computer stuff. (which I hope they do, and I'm sure they will)

Did the survey and I wonder how they can get funded to keep the Brand alive!

The "maker" movement is huge and gaining momentum. There's a lot of
money there. I know people locally who have considered investing in
things related to that. I'm sure they didn't have much trouble securing
funding.

I've got my fingers crossed for this, and I wish them the very best
of luck. I think it's high time for a "Heathkit renaissance"! If they
pull it off, I will buy as many kits as I can afford.
