3D H-8 Case close to completion

Hi,

I finally got an H-8 using Les Bird's latest offering. Now I needed a case. What to do? Well, 3D print one of course! Two weeks later, too many prototype builds to count, and I'm close to done. I need to redesign the top for louvers and document the build process. I'll submit the STLs to JCLPCB to get a quote on a build. Total print time on a Bambu Labs X1C is 45 hours, PETG cost $60

It goes by so fast at the end, I blinked and thought it was the original case until I re-watched and saw the join in the front panel. Nice work!

The almost final version is on the Wiki. I need to do some rework on the top next week to improve the connection process for the four pieces. Also, Joe T. had a good suggestion on how to eliminate the lens frame and incorporate the red lens gel holder in the front panel. The zip file includes a doc file with printing and design notes.

No. I didn’t share the $600 cost estimate earlier. I figured no one would be interested. You could by a nice 3D printer and print your own for less money.
