Hi everyone,
Happy vernal equinox!
I'm here to announce a few April shows, and to provide a last minute reminder for my choir show tomorrow night.
Tomorrow!
Conspiracy of Venus has a rare Oakland show at the Uptown.
Doors are at 8, and we will sing a mini set around 8:30.
Then, Yea-Ming & the Rumors will play (a short set as well).
Then, around 10, we'll sing a full set.
So, early or late folks are welcome.
We're doing a bunch of small ensembles for this show (in new formations), to keep it fresh. We're debuting a new song as well!
Details!
Conspiracy of Venus is a 30-woman vocal ensemble based in San Francisco that explores the creative frontiers of music under the artistic direction of Joyce Todd McBride. The choir sings jazz inspired a cappella arrangements of the songs and poems of David Bowie, Tom Waits, Björk, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Bertolt Brecht, and more, as well as original compositions by McBride.
