to seacore campers
Birgins, New SeaWEEDians, and the Dusty Old Dogs,

Your first time on the Playa? Haven't camped with SeaWEED before? Just plain forgetful and want a friendly reminder? Here's a few camp and village specific tips and guidelines from the Mayor.

A Camp Rule Fully Enforced To The Full Extent Of The Wrath Of Hawaii And Big Papa;

*DO NOT BRING GLASS CONTAINERS! If you must bring something in a glass container you are fully responsible for it's disposal. NO GLASS GOES IN OUR WASTE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. If I or Big Papa find glass we will be very cross.

Some Friendly tips;

On packing,
*Did you get that new 42 function flapjack flipper you've always wanted to satisfy that blueberry and marshmallow pancake craving seems to come up every morning at 0347? Take it out of the box. Get rid of the packing material. Anything you bring, try to remove all the packaging.
*You're going to be leaving this wonderful place eventually... pack sets of clean clothes in sealed ziplock bags for the trip home. You'll never get rid of all the dust in the rest of your stuff but you can start your ride with non dusty clothes.

On Self Care,
*If you're wandering around deep playa or lounging in an enchanted tea house and someone approaches you and suggests you should drink some water or grab a snack, do it. It is likely they are just trying to help you maintain a wonderful burn. After hours of so much splendor and stimulation it is easy to forget to eat.
*Sunscreen. Everything. All your bits. And don't forget your lips.

On Moop,
*Pick it up. Doesn't matter who left it or where it came from. Unless its dirt or a dead stink bug, it doesn't belong here. Take it home with you. Keep a stash of gallon ziplock bags in your walking pack. You can keep moop in them sealed up and empty it later and reuse the bag.
*Don't make it. Your super shiny sequin covered lions tail is going to shed it's shiny. Don't bring things that are going to fall apart.

Come meet the Mayor!
Monday morning for the burn at 1000 come hang out with Mayor Hawaii in comfort. This is an all village meeting. Take a bit of time to see all the faces you're going to be falling in love with for the next week. I will have a few things to say to dial everyone in to the village and we may even have a guest speaker with advice to keep everyone safe.

Looking forward to getting covered in dust with you!
