That's right
fellow rubes, Charles, the live-sketch arm of Seattle Untimely, is taking its unique sense of humor to the Big
Apple. So look out, Gotham!
What's
that? No, we're not nervous. What? No, we've always worn our
fingernails like this. Yes, chewed down to the cuticle. No it's not
painful. It's practical. Look, we're not nervous, okay.
Alright,
alright, we were originally a tiny bit anxious when our manager (Chuck)
booked us a show in New York. It is the birthplace of irony after all.
But then we found out that 'if you can make there, you can make it
anywhere'. This of course entails the corollary statement 'if you cannot
make it there, you can still make it everywhere else.' In other words,
we have nothing to lose. Proof by platitude.
With this
new-found perspective, we are no longer nervous. We are serenely
preparing our untested show with the knowledge that if it's not well received, we can always fall back on Tokyo. Of
course, we'd prefer not to do that. So if you happen to be in Center of
the Universe (i.e. Fremont) three weeks from now, please come out and
support the visiting team. We promise we'll put up a good fight.
