Vancouver Island 1000k?

I just registered for the 1000k brevet in Courtenay on Vancouver Island. It will be a very comfortable 1000k starting at 2 pm on 8/20. It is a cloverleaf design with 250k, 300k, 300k, and 150k. It is designed maximize day light riding and enable riders to enjoy their free breakfast.

I plan to drive there (including 2 hr ferry) the morning of 20th arriving 1/2 hr prior to 2 pm start. I have room for 1 bike & 1 passenger. 

I have hotel room with 2 queen size beds reserved from 8/20-24.
