Interesting new convergence of woodsbiking and randonneuring: https://ridewithgps.com/collections/18521

Ryan Francesconi is one of the main routes folks at OMTM down in Portland. For those unfamiliar, OMTM has gotten a (pre-covid) regular community of gravel/adventure riders together around a series of rides around the Portland area, broadly construed. Ryan trained for & rode PBP 2019 with some the familiar Rene Herse Cycles characters, and at the time shared some interesting reflections on rando route choice vs. the types of things he usually tries to incorporate into a route.

Now, he's released a first set of dirt-and-road-inspired rando routes out of Portland: Le Raid Cascadéen.

I haven't planned out much of my season yet (thanks for all the uncertainty, COVID and vaccine rollouts!), but am definitely interested in checking some of these out later this year. Sharing since I know there's a new surge in interest in off-road adventures in this group!
