Dear Organizer, I am pleased to inform you that, on the initiative of two of our companies, next July 22nd 2018 will take place a 1400 km "randonnée"(hikes) in Italy, the "ALPI 4000 Brevet - Grand Tour of the Alps and Northern Italy" with BRM approval. ALPI 4000 is part of IGT (Italia del Grand Tour), a four over 1200km randonnées brevet, each taking place every 4 years. I have biked in that area and it is incredible—my favorite in Europe, maybe anywhere. If I was still riding I would certainly try to do it.

HMM.  Same distance as LEL but almost 2x the climbing.  Unless I find a benefactor so I can quit my job and train like a pro cyclist I don't think that's going to happen.  Also I will need a personal trainer / chef to make sure I only eat a calorie restricted, healthy, no alcohol diet so I can lose 40 pounds to get to an elite power/weight ratio.

I'm sure you will have a great time, though!  For me it looks like a nice route for a 2 week tour at 100km / day, assuming there is very comfortable accommodation available at regular intervals :-)
