We had a huge turnout for the Dart Populaire at the end of February. If that was fun, think about how much fun you will have riding for a full 24 hours with your pals! This year the Fleche is once again ending in Olympia, providing an opportunity for more of our Oregon frends to join in the fun. There will be registration details on the SIR web site soon, but I would like to get everyone gathering their teams and planning their routes as early as possible.
You will finish by Sunday, May 17th at 10:00AM. You may choose an earlier finish time. Your start time is 24 hours before your finish time with the earliest allowable start time being Thursday at noon. The full fleche rules are here:
Rules for the Flèches-USA | Randonneurs USA
You are responsible for forming your own teams of between 3 and 5 bicycles and planning your own route of at least 360km. Your routes will finish at the LaQuinta Inn & Suites loacated at
4600 Capitol Blvd SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
Sunday morning there will be a banquet at the River's Edge restaurant located very close to the finish hotel. Teams from out of the area may find it convenient to ride to Olympia over Friday and Saturday and spend the night at the finish hotel before the banquet.
Ask your friends, plan your routes, and send them to me earlier rather than later!
