I wanted to share this nice 125k loop that starts and ends in Sedro-Woolley, and visits the famous Burpee Hill Road from Concrete to Baker Lake, in the manner of the SIR spring 400k course.  This could be a nice warm up or intel-gather for any aspiring 400ers, or just a nice tour of Skagit Valley.  I have dubbed it "Junior Baker Lake Burger", in contrast to the full Double Baker'n Cheeseburger that is the 400k.  I've also submitted this as a new RUSA perm, so soon it may be available for P12 type pursuits as well.

Route starts at a nice park with restrooms and shade and water, then rolls up the relatively quiet South Skagit Highway to Concrete, and up to Baker Lake, making the loop around and then back down Baker Lake Road.  The return to Sedro is a route that I find preferable to (and quieter than) the Highway 20 racetrack, though a person could free route another way if they so chose. (Another option here is the Centennial Trail, a 22 mile not-always-paved trail between Sedro and Concrete.) And true to its name, the route includes not one but three optional burger stops, Cascade Burgers in Concrete, Birdsview Diner in Birdsview, and the delicious finish at Hal's Drive In.

Good news, the Junior Baker Lake Burger is now Rusa-approved!  Permanent #5856, linked below

And one typo correction, above where I said "Centennial Trail" I meant "Cascade Trail".

Happy riding,
Calvin

nice job staying off 20, although with N Cascades closed, it's probably pretty calm this year.
