Hello Randos. I hope you all enjoyed the 200 yesterday and the limited moisture in the air. Well planned of course.
A former active Seattle area cyclist friend of our family passed away a while ago. His brother is in town clearing out the house and has asked me to help place a few bikes in homes.
Mickey was tall so the road bike is large. I was unable to find a tape measure in the basement but you should know that he was over 6' tall.
Road Bike:
A purple Cannondale Performance Road bike. 7 Speed Shimano drive train with a triple crank. Probably circa mid 90s. It has fenders and fits tires up to 700 x 28. Shimano 600 sidepull brakes and downtube shifters.
Mountain Bike:
A red Novara Arriba. A mid range size bike. New enough it has a front shock. V brakes.
Both bikes were well cared for. Theyhave not been ridden for many years as he had become wheel chair bound after a bike accident many years ago.
Travel Case:
Iron Case. With all straps. A rigid bike travel case with wheels.
Ther eare several Blackburn rear racks, spare wheels and tires and boxes of misc bike stuff if you are interested.
The catch:
Joel (the brother that is in town) is leaving town on Thursday. If you are interested in one or all of the above items they are free to you BUT they must be picked up by the end of Wednesday.
I have a few photos of the bike and the hard case but I was unable to send it with this email. I can text or email the photos to you.
If you think one of these bikes or the case is for you but can't make it over to Phinney Ridge in Seattle before then we have several SIR members that are part of the Phinney Ridge contingent that could pick them up and hold them for you for a few days. Joels house is a few blocks from Woodland Park in the 50s.
Rather than have Joel bothered with bike questions feel free to contact me.
