Has anyone ridden over Stampede Pass between I-90 and Greenwater in the last year or two?  I am interested in reports of the road conditions in comparison to other gravel roads we consider ridable with a road bike such as the north end of mountain loop highway, Campbell Global logging roads, back entrance to Longmire, etc.

I am referring to this route or similar:

Looks like the last time I've made it out there was fall 2018, but at the time the road conditions seemed a bit rougher than the Mountain Loop gravel, and about equivalent to the Markworth Forest / Campbell Global roads. I've ridden it on Compass 32s and survived, but in 2018 I brought 650b 47s and they were a great time. I know folks who rode it last year and I didn't hear any exclamations about the past winter changing things much.

We added a bit north of the freeway and came up Curly Creek Rd, if those are interesting additions to you: https://www.strava.com/activities/1874293583

Stampede Pass isn’t too bad. See pic.

Not sure how you are thinking of getting to Greenwater, but I think that’s a pretty rugged route. I haven’t done it, but someone much stronger than I am wrote it up last year - https://claireilaw.com/2020/07/20/finding-the-unknown-mountain-pass/
