Join the Seattle City Council to discuss transportation options and carbon neutrality goals for Seattle
Seattle – The public is invited to join Seattle City Councilmember Mike O’Brien for a community discussion on neighborhood transportation challenges and opportunities, co-hosted by the Pacific Science Center, Seattle City Council and Streets For All Seattle. This discussion is part of a series of events that gather community input on different aspects of the City Council’s priority issue of carbon neutrality.
When: Tuesday, April 12, 6 – 8:30 p.m.
Where: Seattle Vocational Institute, in the Central District
2120 S. Jackson St., Seattle
Who: This event is open to everyone interested in Seattle-area transportation and carbon neutrality issues. A light dinner and refreshments will be provided for forum attendees.
What: From here to there: A discussion on transportation in Seattle, with featured speakers:
· Mark Hallenbeck, Director of the Washington State Transportation Center at UW (TRAC)
· Jennifer Wieland, Seattle Department of Transportation
· Transit blogger Carla Saulter, a.k.a. “Bus Chick”
Educational activities will be provided by Pacific Science Center’s Science On Wheels for children ages 5 and up whose caregivers attend the forum.
