Greetings Seattle Neighbors,

The Carbon Neutral Neighborhoods group is meeting this and next Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. at Seattle City Hall. This week we will be in our usual L2-80 Boards and Commissions Room.  Please note that the room will be available to us starting at 1 pm for anyone who wants to meet up early.

This will be a working meeting, where we will be working on the White Paper, continuing to sort through the 150+ ideas that have been through this process generated at: http://seattleneighbors.ideascale.com/ and planning for our September 14th presentation.

Rapidly Approaching Deadlines:

September 7th:  Dry Run for City Council presentations. 
September 14th:  Presentation to the City Council at the Community Forum and Turn in Final White Paper


Why should you attend? 
You can meet your friends and neighbors from SCALLOPSTransition SeattleCommunity Councils, and other community groups; but mostly we hope you'll come because this is the turning point in how the government of Seattle works with the people of Seattle to address climate issues. We need your help, your ideas, your creativity, your voice, your skills, and your solutions. Now is the time.

Who: People who love Seattle and are interested in carbon neutral neighborhoods
What: Carbon neutral neighborhoods use less energy while building resilient local communities
Where: The Boards and Commissions room is in City Hall, room L2-80, one floor below the main entrance of City Hall at 5th and James. Enter here or risk getting lost!
When: Tuesday August 24 from 2-4 p.m.
How: More information at http://seattleneighbors.org. Even if you can't attend these meetings, please join the carbon neutral neighborhoods group and encourage people in groups you are in to get involved too!

A Draft Agenda is attached, and meeting notes from last week and other relevant documents should be posted tot he Google Group at http://seattleneighbors.org/ before the meeting tomorrow.
