Hello Cathy,
The Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment (OSE) will start the process of updating the city’s climate action plan this fall. I work for Councilmember Mike O’Brien’s office and we are supporting this work by collaborating with OSE to convene a focus group of some of our strong environmental allies.
Specifically, we are reaching out to you to help us fine tune our messaging around climate change as well as explore the best ways to get a broad range of community members and organizations engaged in Seattle’s Climate Action Planning process. Additionally, we are interested in hearing your thoughts as to how to engage the public in a broader discussion around climate action at an individual and organizational level.
Would you be willing to participate in a focus group on this topic? We are reaching out to you because you’ve already demonstrated an interest in this subject by your participation in the Carbon Neutral groups in 2010.
The focus group will be from 4:00 – 5:30 on Wednesday, July 6 at Seattle City Hall. Light snacks will be served. We expect it to be an engaging and lively discussion and your participation will be greatly appreciated.
Josh Fogt (josh...@seattle.gov) from Councilmember O’Brien’s office and Sara Wysocki (sara.w...@seattle.gov) from the Office of Sustainability and Environment will be following up with additional details, but feel free to contact either of them with any questions you have in the meantime. Please RSVP to Sara at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for considering being a part of this important discussion.
Sincerely,
Josh Fogt
