Seattle Hadoop Distributing Computing User Meeting

   Bringing Hadoopists Together On the 3rd
       Thursday of the Month

We focus predominately on distributed data
processing using a map reduce style. The meetings
are open to all and free of charge.

When: Thursday September 16th, 7:00 pm room,  7:15 start - 8:45
Where: University Heights Community Center, Room 209

Outline for September 16th:

   Pig 0.7:

   Our resident Pig expert Chris Wilkes will go
   over what is new in Pig 0.7.

   Disco Tags:

   Disco is a MapReduce implementation in Python
   and Erlang. The DDFS (Disco Distributed File
   System) is based on sets of referential tags.
   Sean Jensen-Grey will go over some tagging
   strategies for managing file sets.
