Seattle Hadoop Distributing Computing User Meeting

    Bringing Hadoopists Together On the 3rd
        Thursday of the Month

We focus predominately on distributed data
processing using a map reduce style. The meetings
are open to all and free of charge. 

When: Thursday Nov 17th, 7:00 pm 7:15 start - 8:45
Where: University Heights Community Center, Room 209

Outline for Nov 17th:

                Chris Henry of Audience Science:
                        Automatic Provisioning Hadoop @ Scale in the
                        datacenter and on EC2 using Puppet, Chef,
                        Sledgehammer and Crowbar.

                Chris Wilkes will go over what is new in Pig 0.9.1
                         including Avro and Jython support for UDFs.

                Sean Jensen-Grey will cover writing high
                         performance MapReduce jobs in Python
                          (Shedskin, Ctypes and PyPy)
