For all those interested in an opportunity for first-hand experience with a local food systems project in Pioneer Square, please see below:

[storefront] Mushroom Farm – Seeks Docents

We are looking for 2-3 docents who are excited to talk with visitors at the [storefront] Mushroom Farm and explain the concept of the project.

[storefront] Mushroom Farm is a functioning urban mushroom farm growing gourmet oyster mushrooms on spent coffe grounds gathered from three nearby cafes -- Zeitgeist, Caffe Umbria, and Starbucks.

The project is a demonstration of a local food system pop-up in Pioneer Square. It is a temporary exhibit to explore the climate impact of daily food choices, connecting businesses and people, and repairing the natural environment.

The space will be open to the public Tu-Th from 11:00-1:30 (2/20-3/10) and we are looking for volunteers who are available to be in the space at least one day a week during these times.

This is project is a partnership between CityLab7 + Olson Kundig Architects.

Please contact Chris Saleeba Ch...@citylab7.com if you are interested.
