Annual Meeting and Please Send Proxies

REMINDER: We will hold our annual members meeting on 22 MAR, Saturday 2:00-3:00pm, at SGC.  We will review programs and events in 2024 and share financial info.  We will also vote on a slate of three directors who each will serve a three-year term.  Each year, three of the nine directors' terms expire.

REQUEST: We need 13 voting members (annual or lifetime) as a quorum.  If you cannot make the meeting, PLEASE email man...@seattlego.org to register a proxy for yourself (notification goes to the secretary for recording).  We appreciate your naming proxies to ensure we have quorum for the meeting as required by law.

This year, we are grateful that Chris Wells and John Hogan (long-serving directors) volunteered to be directors again.  Peter Kron decided to step down after many years of being a director, and he continues to volunteer a lot and teach at Ballard HS and outreach events.  Heath Henning was nominated to take Peter's place.  I sent more info about Heath before, but in short Heath has been a huge volunteer for teaching Go and helped SGC for several years.

Last reminder annual meeting Sat, and a complicating notice ... PNA is having a special event and closing the parking lots this Sat 22 MAR.  By prime afternoon time of 2pm, I would expect parking all around PNA to be sub par.  SGC is open at 1pm for playing go, but the meeting starts at 2pm.

As long as several people show up, we will meet quorum, but if you're an annual or lifelong member, you can assign someone your proxy if you know they are attending.
